Knowing your blood pressure can save your life.

High blood pressure (also called hypertension) can lead to serious problems like heart attacks or strokes. There are no symptoms, so you may not realise you have it. But lifestyle changes and blood pressure medicines can help you stay healthy.

You can check your blood pressure at home (see the video below from the British Heart Foundation), at your local pharmacy (Find a pharmacy that offers free blood pressure checks – NHS), or at your GP practice.

Submit your blood pressure reading

Once you have checked your blood pressure, patients from our 5 GP practices can submit it to us for review.

You can also check out what the results might mean for you by using the NHS blood pressure checker. This checker will also provide advice and guidance on what action to take based on your results as well as provide helpful tips on lifestyle changes you can make to lower your blood pressure, if needed.
