Wandle Wellbeing Hub.
In collaboration with Surrey Physio, Wandle PCN has recently launched a new community initiative – the Wandle Wellbeing Hub. This timely intervention adds a new dimension of support for our practice patients, offering social activities, exercise initiatives, events and expert-led sessions outside a traditional clinical setting. These bi-weekly sessions are facilitated by our social prescriber Lynne, our physios and GPs, as well as by visiting organisations, such as Citizens Advice, Wandsworth Carers Centre, DWP Benefits, Macmillan, Age UK Wandsworth and EMHIP, among others. Whether you’re looking to stay active, connect with others, or access practical advice and support, there’s something for everyone. Click the events diary link below to find out more.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the RSVP feature is temporarily unavailable while we work to improve our events booking process. Some events can be booked via the eventbrite link on the event page.

Ageing Well Event, 26th October 2026 at 10am.
Ageing Well: Helping you stay well and independent
As people live longer, supporting healthy ageing and maintaining independence has become an increasingly important part of healthcare. Wandle PCN and Brocklebank PCN are therefore delighted to announce Ageing Well—a free event designed to help older people, their families and carers learn more about ageing well and share their experiences.
What to expect
Part 1 Health talks and Q&A
The first part will feature practical talks from healthcare professionals, including a GP, an Occupational Therapist and a Personal Independence Coordinator. They will share advice on staying independent, preventing frailty, reducing the risk of falls, and accessing local support services. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
Part 2 Listening to your experiences
The second part of the event will be a discussion with older people living with frailty, as well as carers and family members. We want to hear about the challenges you face, what is working well, and where services could be improved. Your experiences will help shape future health and care services across our Neighbourhood, ensuring they better meet the needs of local people.
Why it matters
Frailty is not an inevitable part of ageing. With the right advice, support and community services, many people can maintain their independence and continue doing the things that matter most to them for longer. Ageing Well is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, connect with local services and help influence how care is developed in our community.

Men’s Health Event, 11th November 2026 at 1.30pm.
Join GP Dr Mitali Agarwal this ‘Movember’ for an informative talk and Q&A on men’s health, raising awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
We’ll also be welcoming St George’s Hospital’s Mobile Liver Unit. For those with relevant risk factors, the team will offer finger-prick blood tests for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV, alongside a non-invasive liver health check using a FibroScan.
A FibroScan is similar to an ultrasound scan, but specifically assesses liver tissue. It provides an immediate indication of fibrotic change (scarring) and fatty change in the liver.
Come along to learn more, ask questions and take the opportunity to look after your health this ‘Movember’.

Diabetes Awareness Event, 7th December 2026 at 10.30am
Join GP Dr Christina Bilalian for an informative talk and Q&A on diabetes.
Learn more about the different types of diabetes, common symptoms and causes, how to reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and much more.
Come along, ask questions and get trusted advice from your local GP.

The period following Christmas and the New Year is recognised as a challenging time that can leave people feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Low mood, loneliness and anxiety can be amplified during the festive season and can continue into January and February when factors such as reduced daylight hours (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and financial worries can cause a decline in mood.
In collaboration with Brocklebank PCN and multiple voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations, we hosted ‘Beat the Blues’ on 11th February 2026 to support our patients who are struggling with their mental health this winter. Held across two local venues (the Tara Theatre and the Earlsfield Library) with VCSE stallholders and wellbeing sessions and talks, the event attracted 200+ attendees.
Carers week event
The annual Carers Week campaign raises awareness of caring and highlights the challenges unpaid carers face and recognises the contribution they make to families and communities. To mark this, we launched our new community hub with an event at the Tara Theatre in June 2025. It was an opportunity for registered carers—and those who didn’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities—to ‘drop in’ and access support from PCN clinical staff and multiple voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations.

Men’s health + liver bus event
‘Movember’ is a global movement aimed at raising awareness for men’s health issues, including mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. To mark this, on 12th November 2025 our GPs Dr Mitali Agarwal and Dr Aryan Jogiya delivered a talk and Q&A on men’s health and the St George’s Hospital Liver Health team was on-hand nearby at St Michael’s Church with their mobile unit, offering free, easy liver health checks.
Fifty-four men attended the event, and the St George’s team took each patient’s history at the mobile unit before doing a Fibroscan and/or fingerprick blood borne virus test for those with relevant risk factors (fatty liver/ drunk excessively for 10+ years/ ever had Hepatitis infection/have a history of injecting drug use).
